Kerosene
Kerosene is the most common home heating oil fuel in the UK. It is a colourless, thin mineral oil which has a density between 0.75 and 0.85 grams per cubic centimetre. It's extracted through the distillation of crude oil and typically boils off between 150°C and 275°C.
Kerosene has also been extracted from coal, oil shale and wood and has a number of different names. Some of these include:
- 28-second heating oil
- Heating oil
- Domestic oil
- Kerosene 28
At Bayford we are proud to have been able to supply our customers with heating oils such as Kerosene for over 80 years.
